Do you think you can solve the secret?

Looking at the video below, do you think you can solve the secret? It’s a simple idea really, just place an ordinary die on top of a mirror. In real life, the die has black and red spots like any good die should, but in the reflection it has no spots. When you turn the die, and move it around – still no spots. Crazy I know, but really amazing.

How about this:
You have a semi translucent mirror. A second die that is magnetic below the mirror now the second die is visible with or without the colored spots, depends on which die you put on top or below.
Just a thought

Axel's answer seems pretty accurate. At around 23 seconds he spins the dice and you can notice the reflection lags for a second

how about 2 separate pieces of film cleverly put together, the lag is there, though looks more likely that they two different bits of film.

3 dice. One with painted numbers, one with unpainted numbers, and one trick one with two '5' sides, one painted, one not. Other sides of the trick die are half painted so that the top of the hole will be reflected. The '5' side always stays on top, even when he seems to move it around. Seems like that would work..

I'm still not too sure exactly how it's done by I think I can get you closer to the answer here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gakhuC58gCg&feature=player_embedded At the end of this video you will see that there are two dice involved. One of them with colors and the other without just like in this video.

cool trick. i go with the two-way mirror idea - around 38sec he fumbles the top die, but the bottom image is still against glass.

This is done with three different dice. One with dots, one with no dots, and the trick dice has only half the dots painted. so when you look down on it you see the bottom of the dot dimples (which is painted) but the reflection sees up at the dice reflecting the top of the dimples (which are unpainted). When you turn that rick die over you see no dots because you are only seeing that part of the dimples and the mirror reflects the opposite side of the dimples. Combine that with a little off camera slight of hand and you have the trick.
