The Informant!

1

Not a great experience for me. I found it hard to get into the film and felt it was dull in colour making it feel slow.
I feel I was seeing many more missed opportunities to create something much better. However, I feel I must have been missing something with how the producer wanted this to come across.
The picture seemed constantly dull, colours were realistic for the times shot in, but because of the picture it felt they were on a low contrast fuzz filter.
If you are a fan of Matt then pick up another of his films. I cant say he acts badly, he does the movie well. The movie however does not do him well.

Matt should stick to the action films. I really like them.

I felt exactly the same about the movie. It had a great premise, and underlining themes, but I felt like the movie missed the mark of being a really good flick.

yeah, I felt the same way about the movie except for one thing: the dull colors. I thought it was a kind if neat way to make everything feel a little 'ordinary'. Sort of lending to the fact that Damon's character was nothing special. Yes? No? Discuss.

Your right about that too.It kinda reminded me of "One Hour Photo" with Robin Williams. About how all the colours in the movie and stuff like "his car, or apartment" we're so plain and ordinary, very attune to the character.

When I got half way through The Informant and learned he was a pathological liar I thought, oh great, now we'll see how deep it goes and that his whole life is a made up lie. But in the end it just made me frustrated that it was an incomplete movie.

ps. matt damon is definitely better in the action flicks....

The "This American Life" version was quite good:
