The "AIDS" thing is pretty horrendous and backwards, though. So many efforts have been aimed at getting people to understand the disease and its origins, rather than the old and early perception that it is a gay or impoverished African disease. Fail.

So many efforts have been made, in the name of political correctness, to claim that AIDS is an equal opportunity disease while disregarding the facts that the infected groups are overwhelmingly homosexual males and IV drug users. Unlike cancer, AIDS in the developed world is primarily contracted as a consequence of risky behaviors.
