Fast Food: Calories Per Dollar

When it comes to weight issues, the quickest culprit to blame is the calorie. Losing weight and eating right can be hard when there are so many faster, less expensive, and more convenient options available, like fast food. But for those who watch what they eat and what they spend, here’s an interesting infographic that shows the calories per dollar (CPD) of some of our favorite fast food items.

I think you're right there John. We live in a world where the system is such that it's cheaper to buy food that is bad for you than it is to buy good, wholesome and healthy food. At the end of the day, there's relatively little money in natural foods because you can't really patent them. Corporations therefore create their own synthetic foods that they can market at a lower price. These foods are also very addictive and as you can imagine, with the shelf-life promoting chemicals, very bad for you.
It's in food corporations' best interests to keep you coming back for more, even if it's not in YOUR best interests.

Just so we're all clear on that :)

you should find the one for the salads these fastfood joints serve as well, it has the disguise of a promised health, when in actuality they're just as bad.
